MLPE is electronics that live at the solar module level — not at the inverter — so the system can (1) cut DC power per panel (RSD), (2) boost power output per panel (Optimizer), and (3) monitor per-panel performance. AndSolar manufactures MLPE that works with any string inverter on the market.

AMCL (RSD): handles emergency shutoff only — affordable and compliant with NEC 690.12. AMCP (Optimizer): handles emergency shutoff plus per-panel power boosting (DC-DC converter) — costs more, but pays back in 3–5 years from the extra energy reclaimed.

AndSolar is a universal MLPE — it works with any string inverter, including GoodWe, Solis, Huawei, Sungrow, SMA, Fronius and others — because it communicates over PLC (Power Line Communication) on the existing DC wiring, with no extra cabling required.

The ADCU Gateway collects data from every AMCL/AMCP unit and presents it through a cloud platform and mobile app — you can see per-panel power in real time, spot faulty or degraded panels, review historical stats, and receive push-notification alerts. Ideal for installers managing after-sales service and for homeowners who want panel-level visibility.
