Where does the +6% come from, and how is it measured?
The +6% comes from two effects combined: (1) reduced glass-surface reflection (anti-reflective behaviour) and (2) less dust/stain build-up shading the cells. It is measured by comparing the 12-month average output of a coated panel against an identical uncoated panel in the same environment. Real-world results vary with local dust levels — dustier areas near roads can see +8-10%, while cleaner sites may see ~3-4%.
How many panels can 1 litre cover?
One litre covers 40-50 square metres, or about 15 panels @ 600W. A 5kW system (15 panels) uses ~300-375 ml per round, so 1L is good for 2-3 applications (1 year+). A 30kW system (90 panels) needs ~3L per round — the 5L bottle is ideal. Systems of 100kW+ use 7-10L; contact us for wholesale pricing.
Does it work with every brand and cell technology?
Yes — it works with all of them: Mono / Poly / TopCon / HJT / Bifacial / Thin-film. SolarClean only bonds to the glass surface; it never touches the cells underneath. It contains no corrosive agents and is safe with the AR coating on modern panels. Aiko 670W, Trina 645W, Longi Hi-MO 6, JA Solar — all supported.
How long does one application last?
Typically ~6 months per application, depending on conditions:
• High PM2.5 areas / coastal / near major roads → re-coat every 4-5 months
• Clean areas / frequent rain → 7-8 months
We recommend coating twice a year — once before the dry season (to block PM2.5 dust) and once before the rainy season (to repel acid-rain stains).
Can I apply it myself or do I need a technician?
You can absolutely apply it yourself — it works just like car coating: wash → spray → wipe → let dry. All you need is a microfiber cloth and a spray bottle. Work in the cool of the morning or evening (never apply on a hot panel). It takes about 15 minutes per panel.
